Steven Meo was born in 1977 in Swansea and grew up in Ystradgynlais, in the Swansea Valley, where he attended Maesydderwen Comprehensive School. He went on to train at the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama in Cardiff.
Meo is probably best known to Welsh audiences for playing the accident-prone Hoffman in the BBC Wales sitcom High Hopes, set in the fictional South Wales valleys community of Cwm-Pen-Ôl, and for his role as Grant in the comedy Grownups. His other television credits include Without Motive, Roger Roger, Belonging, Doctors, Casualty, Gavin & Stacey, Baker Boys and The Pembrokeshire Murders.
Meo has also appeared in the Doctor Who franchise, including Totally Doctor Who and the animated Doctor Who: The Infinite Quest, as well as more recent work including Code 404 and the HBO fantasy series House of the Dragon.
