Geraint Todd

Actor

Geraint Wyn Todd, born 8 August 1979, is a Welsh actor and director from Pontypridd in the South Wales Valleys, with a long career across Welsh-language television and film.

Todd began acting while still at school, appearing in the S4C youth drama Pam Fi, Duw? (Why Me, God?) between 1997 and 2002, an experience he has credited with launching his acting career, saying: "Had I not taken part in Pam Fi, Duw? I would not be an actor today." He went on to study History and English Literature at the University of Wales, Cardiff, while continuing to work on Welsh drama series including Y Tŷ, The Bench and A Mind to Kill.

He took the leading role of David Manning in the S4C comedy-drama Cowbois ac Injans (2006–2007), and later joined the cast of the long-running soap opera Pobol y Cwm in 2011, playing the regular character Ed Charles until 2019. He has since worked as a director on Pobol y Cwm and other S4C programmes, and also played the teacher Steffan Young in the drama Gwaith/Cartref (2011–2012).

Alongside acting and directing, Todd works as a professional photographer. He lives in Cardiff with his wife and their sons.
