Thomas Alexander Dekker was born on 28 December 1987 in Las Vegas, Nevada, USA. His mother, Hilary (nee Williams), is a Welsh-born concert pianist, singer, actress and acting coach, while his father is a Dutch-American actor and musician. Although Dekker himself was born and raised in the United States, his Welsh connection comes through his mother's heritage.
Dekker is a film and television actor, musician, writer, producer and director. He is best known for playing John Connor in Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles, and has also appeared in Village of the Damned, Heroes and The Secret Circle.
