Her first novel was set among Maltese immigrants who lived in Tiger Bay in the 1960's - 1970's. Probably the first time the Maltese settlers to South Wales featured in a novel. (The Maltese community in Tiger Bay called the town the Valletta of Britain).


Licris, I'm desperately trying to locate this 'phantom' Maltese community. I'm Maltese myself and staying in Cardiff.
Any tips on how I can track down some Maltese people?
