At Craig-y-Nos, Patti built a $2,000 billiard table and a private theatre where she staged performances for guests, and it was there that she made some of her earliest gramophone recordings in 1905-06. She funded Craig-y-Nos railway station on the Neath and Brecon Railway, and in 1918 donated the estate's Winter Garden to Swansea, where it survives as the Patti Pavilion, a lasting reminder of her long residence in south Wales.

Cox maintained the influential 2.2 branch of the Linux kernel and remained one of its most trusted core developers for decades, later working on kernel security and driver development for companies including Red Hat and Intel.
