Our thanks to strumble for birthplace correction, Wynford was born in Swansea in 1908.
Wynford was a cousin of my father. He compiled our family tree and used our family Welsh bible, dating back to the 1500's to help him. This bible was in the custody of my Aunt. I would love to hear from somebody who has a record of Wynford's research.
To Wacker: Wynford (big and little) used to visit us during the war at Mayles Road, Swansea. My mother was a Thomas from Kilvrough Manor and also claimed Wynford was a cousin. I have a book on Gower signed by him.
Can anyone tell me if there's a memorial for him on Strumble head near Fishguard? If so, where is it? Thanks in advance!
Re Wackers's comment, apparently my grandmother (Ann Thomas) was Wynford's mothers cousin, so must be related somewhere! I'm fascinated to have such an infamous ancestor.
