Rugby player of note, many international caps.

Even though 200,000 people claim to have been present at the famous 'Edward's try' at Barbarians V New Zealand 1973, I can genuinely say I was.

My wife, who is from Yorkshire, and I had picked up two tickets at face value immediately before the match, and we were level with the try line at the front of the old South Enclosure at the Arms Park.

We were therefore only about ten yards away from him when he scored. I can remember watching him steaming up the pitch, not believing that he was going to score!

My wife has never been to another game since. Still if you are going to one game of rugby in your life, that was the one to go to!

Simply the greatest player to ever wear the `Red Jersey` and possibly the greatest player ever! Certainly the best Scrum Half! Those were the days.

The best Welsh scrum half in Wales. Ever!

Was voted best player of all time (by a significant margin) a couple of years ago by a poll of top players and representatives from all the unions. No doubt about it! Also a true Welshman through and through.

A true great of the game. Immortalised by 'that' try, utter magic!

A true great. I watched him play many times and was at the game when he scored 'that try'. Not only was he fantastic player he is also a gentleman. I have met him three times and he always has time to stop and talk and is interested in your comments.
