Carl played for Rochdale towards the end of his Football League career. His skills were a pleasure to watch and were a breath of fresh air in a team which to some extent was struggling.

On one occasion (against Cardiff City, no less!) he received the ball in his own half, dribbled past at least 6 players and scored.

We were sorry when he left.
