I played against Derek on several occasions on the muddy Buttrills in Barry. After National Service I took up refereeing and met Derek several times when he was manager at Newport County. Good old days.

Hi, really pleased to find Derek Tapscott is still remembered. I live in Sussex and was a young teenager when he was banging them in for the gunners. In fact in the playground (wearing a pair of shoes out every week dribbling a tennis ball around). I was Derek! If anyone has contact with him please tell him he's not forgotten.
