Christian Jones was born and raised in Swansea, Wales, a city with its own strong musical pedigree, having also produced Bonnie Tyler and Badfinger. A child prodigy on guitar, he went on to study at the Academy of Contemporary Music in London, where he trained alongside players such as Guthrie Govan and Paul Gilbert and graduated with honours, being named Student of the Year for his talent.
Early in his career Jones played and recorded with Welsh bands including Cameo and Dirty Fingers, based in Swansea, as well as with Bonnie Tyler herself. In 2001 he relocated to Atlanta, Georgia, to further his career as a recording artist, quickly building a reputation as one of the city's most in-demand guitarists. His playing and songwriting have since featured on records and stages with a striking range of major artists, including Mary J. Blige, Gladys Knight, Richie Sambora, Bobby Brown, Monica, Outkast's Andre 3000 and the Braxtons.
Beyond session and touring work, Jones has appeared on screen, including in the Tyler Perry film "I Can Do Bad All By Myself" and the Andre 3000 film "Idlewild", and served as lead guitarist for the house band on the Tyler Perry television show. He continues to write and record his own material while endorsing PRS Guitars, carrying the sound of his Swansea roots into American stages and studios.
