Matt Tuck

Singer / Guitarist (Bullet for My Valentine)

Matthew Tuck was born in Bridgend on 20 January 1980. His first musical influences came from his father's record collection of Status Quo and Bruce Springsteen, but it was Metallica that pushed him to pick up a guitar, teaching himself their riffs by ear.

In 1998 he formed a band in Bridgend under the name Jeff Killed John. In 2003, after a line-up change, they became Bullet for My Valentine, with Tuck as lead vocalist, rhythm guitarist and principal songwriter. Their debut album The Poison followed in 2005 and turned them into one of the biggest metal acts in the world, with seven studio albums and a string of major festival headline slots since.
