Dean Jones, born Dean Carroll Jones on 25 January 1931 in Decatur, Alabama, was an American actor best remembered as the male lead in Walt Disney's 'The Love Bug' films and its sequels. His father worked for a railroad company, and the family moved frequently between Washington DC, Nashville and New Orleans during his childhood.
He appeared in a range of Disney films between 1965 and 1977, and continued acting in film and television for decades afterwards. Dean Jones died on 1 September 2015, aged 84.
