William Remington Moses, professionally known as William R. Moses, is an American actor born on 17 November 1959 in Los Angeles, California. He is best remembered for playing Cole Gioberti in the long-running prime-time soap opera Falcon Crest from 1981 to 1986, and for his role as Ken Malansky, the young lawyer-turned-investigator, in seventeen Perry Mason television movies alongside Raymond Burr between 1989 and 1993.
Moses went on to appear as Keith Gray in Melrose Place in the early 1990s, co-starred with Julia Roberts in Mystic Pizza (1988), and has worked steadily in American television ever since, with guest roles in series including Murder, She Wrote, CSI: Miami, Homeland, Castle, Mad Men, Grey's Anatomy and The Good Doctor. In November 2022 he joined the cast of the ABC daytime drama General Hospital as Jeff Webber.
He is the son of actress Marian McCargo and advertising executive Richard Cantrell Moses Sr., who married in 1951 and divorced in 1963. His mother remarried Republican Congressman Alphonzo E. Bell Jr. in 1970, who adopted William and his brothers.
This site's original listing described Moses as having a Welsh connection through his father, a claim repeated by readers in the comments below. No biography, obituary or interview traced during research for this update confirms Welsh ancestry on either side of his family. Unless further evidence comes to light, this article should be read as a correction to that longstanding claim rather than a confirmation of a genuine Welsh link.
