Luke Evans

Luke George Evans was born on 15 April 1979 in Pontypool, Torfaen, Wales, and grew up in Aberbargoed, the son of Yvonne and David Evans. He moved to Cardiff at seventeen before winning a scholarship to the London Studio Centre, from which he graduated in 2000, going on to appear in West End productions including Taboo, Rent, Miss Saigon and Piaf.
He made his film breakthrough in the 2010 remake of Clash of the Titans and has since become a fixture of major international blockbusters, including The Hobbit trilogy, Dracula Untold, Fast & Furious 6 and Beauty and the Beast, alongside a continued singing career.
