Founder and conductor of the Royal Welsh Ladies Choir. An associate of the Royal Academy of Music.
Connection: Born Treforest, 1887. Died Cardiff 1975.

Married David Foulkes Smith-Jones of Barry in 1915. The choir entertained royalty and celebrities from the 1920's to the 1950's. In 1935 she gave a lecture and recital before their royal highnesses the Duke and Duchess of York and Princesses Elizabeth and Margaret at the royal lodge Windsor. She was awarded the MBE in 1938.

Muriel Jones is my paternal grandmother she used to give me singing lesson and we would enjoy singing with her. I am also a musician probably due to having been introduced to it at a young age . She came to Australia for a short time in the late 1950's but never really liked it and seemed to miss her notoriety .
