Peter Lodwick

His music interest showed at a young age performing as a pianist and cellist with the National Youth Orchestra of Wales. After receiving multiple Glamorgan scholarships, Peter studied piano, voice and cello at The Royal Academy of Music, London. On leaving college Peter became a member of The Doyle Carte Opera Company while still pursuing his piano carrier. While on tour in the USA he first began composing for dance. Parallel to this he received increasing recognition as a pianist. Peter was then invited to Norway by the director of the Norwegian Opera. He has since lived in Norway.

Peter has composed music for many theatre performances at the National Theatre, Oslo New Theatre, The Norwegian Theatre, Rikstheatre and Norwegian Television. Peters works have been performed at Edinburgh Festival, Avignon Festival, Harstad Festival. He has composed for several of the modern dance groups in Norway and the Norwegian National Ballet. As a performing artist Peter's career became increasingly oriented towards performances for younger audiences. This work resulted in the foundation of Dans og Toner in 1991.
