William Matthews-Williams
A child musical prodigy. Trained and conducted a mixed choir of eight hundred voices in 1937 performing to the Royal Family in Caernarfon Castle in Autumn of that year.Connection: Born in Amlwch, Anglesey, 9th December 1885.
Studied at the Royal College of Music. Passed examinations for A.R.C.O, followed by F.R.C.O. Won the 'Steiner Exhibition award'.

Having earned his MA, he spent most of his life teaching music, playing the Organ, adjudicating at Eisteddfodau. Died at 87 years.
