Lady Llanofer, musician with a Welsh connection!
Lady Llanofer
Her lifelong support of everything Welsh, in particular the triple-stringed harp.Connection: Born in Wales, of English parents. She became passionate about preserving the old Welsh language and culture. Her husband was Benjamin Hall III, after whom 'Big Ben' in London was named.
She has had a lot of adverse publicity in the years since her death. This year (2002) is the 200th anniversary of her death, and I think the record should be put straight!
To correct my previous comment, 2002 is of course the 200th anniversary of Lady Llanofer's BIRTH.
