'Balaclava Ned'. He died in 1927, the last survivor of the Charge of The Light Brigade at Balaclava in the Crimea.

Connection: Born in Mount Street, Wrexham in 1830.

He was my great-great-great grandfather. He died in 1927 at the age of ninety-five. He funeral was held in Blackpool with full military honours. I have some wonderful photos taken at the time.
