Affectionately known as RP (Williams) he was very well known as a preacher at the taberbacle in Holyhead in the early 1900's.

Highly regarded as a great orator he was a friend of Lloyd George who often would call at RP's home to share a clay pipe and discuss issues of the day, before Lloyd George left the area to become prime minister.
