Adams is perhaps most famous for his public works in cities throughout the world, not least the 20ft black granite memorial to the Korean war, the 'Universal Soldier' in battery park, New York city. His 'Belvedere Solar Pavilion' commissioned by CBAT and installed at Penarth Haven near Cardiff is his first permanent public work in Wales .Connection: Born in Brynmawr, Breconshire.
Mac Adams was born in Brynmawr, South Wales. Following his degree in fine art at Cardiff, he won a scholarship to Rutgers University and is now professor of photography at New York State University at Old Westbury.
