Nick Evans, artist with a connection to Wales (Aberdare)

Nick Evans

Welsh artist who produced striking, largely monochrome, paintings of coal miners and pit scenes. Sometimes mixed coal dust with his paint. His work was exhibited often in the 1980's and was well-regarded.

Connection: Welsh born. Lived in gadlys, aberdare for much of his life.

Little is heard of Nick Evans now but he deserves proper recognition. More information on this under-rated artist would be appreciated.

I may be related to him I have been doing some reserch for my sons school project and my great great grandfather Arthur Newton Evans came from Wales.
