    Gravelle was named one of Screen International's 'Stars of Tomorrow' in 2012, the same year he joined the cast of Mr Selfridge as restaurant assistant manager Victor Colleano. His screen career has continued to grow internationally, with roles in Baptiste, Quiz and, since 2022, a major recurring part as Ar-Pharazon in The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power. He is also fondly remembered from Wales for his early stage work with the National Youth Theatre of Wales and Llanelli Youth Theatre.

Was really surprised to see him in 'A470' and he was rather impressive in that too! I can't wait to see him as 'Lysander' in a midsummer night's dream in February! I loved his Lysander last year and his 'William' in as you like it was so funny. I'm taking drama for gcse next year and he's certainly been a great inspiration for me. I can't wait to see what he does in the future. I'm sure he'll only keep getting better!

Trystan Gravelle was born on 4 May 1981 in the village of Trimsaran, near Llanelli in Carmarthenshire, South Wales, and remains a proud, Welsh-speaking son of the area. He attended Ysgol Gyfun Y Strade and was a member of the Llanelli Youth Theatre and the National Youth Theatre of Wales between 1997 and 1999, before training at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art (RADA) and joining the Royal Shakespeare Company.
