William Abraham
Began work in the mines at the age of ten. In the mid 1860's he travelled to Chile to work in the copper mines. On his return he worked briefly in the tinplate industry before resuming work in the coal mining industry. Became MP. For the Rhondda in 1885. In 1899 he was elected as first president of the South Wales Miners' Federation.
Born in Cwmavon, in 1842.

John Adams
The second president of the USA.
Debatable: Appears to be a family connection with West Wales although there's nothing more than anecdotal evidence. He was born 30th October 1735 at the Adams homestead in 'Braintree', now called 'Quincy' in Massachusetts.

Ian Bone
Self styled dangerous anarchist. Founded class war and movement against the monarchy. Wrote cult novel 'Anarchist' set in Swansea. Edited 'The Alarm' the Swansea free sheet that got two leaders of Swansea City Council sent to prison.
Born in Swansea and went to Swansea University. Quoted as 'The most dangerous man in Britain' by the News of the World. Lived in Swansea for eighteen years, had two children .

Richard Bromley
Conference League Linesman, accused of corruption and fired in 2004 after dealings with a Saudi Arabian Sheikh. Bromley has met with Respect MP George Galloway and was instigated in the UN Oil for Food programme, which ended in disaster for several politicians involved.
