Darren Edwards

Rock drummer

Darren Edwards is a rock drummer, guitarist and songwriter born and raised in Merthyr Tydfil, South Wales. He came up through the 1980s UK rock scene as drummer for Das Psycho Rangers, a band that picked up a handful of minor hits in both the UK and the USA during that decade.

His career later took him further afield, drumming for the Japanese chart-topping act Casino Drive and for TK, one of Japan's biggest domestic music acts, giving him a rare international touring profile for a Welsh session player of his generation. He also worked with the young American blues guitarist Eric Sardinas, adding blues-rock credentials to his rock pedigree.

Edwards, who also plays guitar and writes his own material, has been based in Los Angeles, California for a number of years, continuing to work as a musician. Detailed biographical information beyond his playing credits is limited, and this entry reflects only what can be corroborated.
