Once when Southampton played against Manchester United at Old Trafford Southampton beat them four-nil. Ron Davies scored all four goals. Afterwards manager of Man-U, the famed Matt Busby called Davies the best center forward in Europe!

Connection: Ronald Tudor Davies (born 25 May 1942) was a football centre-forward who played most of his career for Southampton in the English League Division One. He was also a Welsh soccer international.
