Haydn Tanner

Haydn is a former Welsh rugby union player who has played for the British and Irish lions.

Connection: He was born in Penclawdd, Gower in 1917. Haydn was educated at Gowerton Grammar school.

He gained his first Welsh Cap at the age of eighteen years and eleven months making him one of the youngest players to appear for Wales. He won a further twenty-four international caps, twelve as captain. His last match was against France in 1949.
