Andrew Vicari

Andrew Vicari is a welsh painter living and working in France. He has made a career out of paining portraits of the rich and famous despite being largely unknown in own country, in 2004 Vicari was Britain's richest living painter, with an estimated fortune of 92 million.

Connection: He was born in Port Talbot in 1938 and lived in Aberdare during World War Two. Both his parents were from Italy, they moved to South Wales during the 1930's.
