Colin Jones

Although he was only thirty-eight years old when he died, he made a significant contribution to Welsh art. This is evidenced by the wealth of fine paintings and drawings which survive. He was very proud of his Welsh heritage and this is very clear from the art which he produced.

Connection: Born in Newport, Gwent, 1928 - 1967. Was and has since been described as one of the most promising artists of his generation.
