Daniel Owen, writer from Bala, Mold, North Wales
Notable welsh writer, famous for his Welsh language novels, such as Rhys Lewis, Enoc Huws, Gwen Tomos and Y Dreflan.
Connection: Born and lived in Mold in 1836. Educated at Ponterwyl School and Methodist College, Bala.
A bronze statue in his honour situated outside Mold public library. He died in 1895.
