I believe that John Haydn Davies was from Aberfan, Merthyr Valley (not Rhondda)

John Haydn Davies lived in Trehebert in the Rhonnda valley. Was a active member of Blaen-y-Cwm chapel, a deacon with my father Islwyn Jones. He was also my Sunday School teacher and a head master in Blaencwm school. A wonderful sensitive caring man who lived for his music.
