Ron Davies
Once when Southampton played against Manchester United at Old Trafford Southampton beat them four-nil. Ron Davies scored all four goals. Afterwards manager of Man-U, the famed Matt Busby called Davies the best center forward in Europe!
Ronald Tudor Davies (born 25 May 1942) was a football centre-forward who played most of his career for Southampton in the English League Division One. He was also a Welsh soccer international.

World Boxing Champion
Barry was world super-featherweight boxing champion in 1997. Born in 1974 in Ely, Cardiff. Plus only Welsh boxer to ever win a Silver Medal in European Junior Championships

Freddie Welsh
Freddie was a boxer. In 1901 he won the Lonsdale belt, in 1914 he won the World Lightweight title. He retired in 1922, a wealthy man and purchased a gym and health farm. Sadly fell on hard times and died penniless in New York.
Frederick Hall Thomas was born in Pontypridd in 1886. He took on the name Freddie Welsh in honor of his nationality and to stop his mother finding out about his career. His nickname was the "Welsh Wizard"

David Henry Jacobs
At the 1912 Stockholm summer Olympics, he won a gold medal as the first leg of in the 4x100m British team.
David Henry Jacobs was born in Cardiff in 1888.

John Ainsworth Davies
He was an athlete and winner of a Gold Medal in 4x400m relay at the Antwerp summer Olympics in 1920.
He was born in Aberystwyth in 1895.
