Thomas
Born in Carmarthenshire, Roger was raised in Llangyfelach and attended Swansea College of Art where
he gained a City and Guilds.
His career as a technical illustrator with got underway with a move to Devon where he worked for Centrax. He also became the
illustrator of twelve books and author of several published poems.
To 2006, Roger has a published folio of over a thousand illustrations in national and local news and over half a million words
in print!
He obtained a Diploma membership of the Society of Industrial Artists and Designers. Roger has gained a reputation as a celebrity
portrait painter beginning with American actor Dale Robertson, then England captain Michael Vaughan, Russell Watson, Lucie
Silvas and Katherine Jenkins.
Other high profile works include pieces for the Bishop of Exeter and even past luminaries of Glamorgan
CCC and Yorkshire CCC. You can see Roger's work online too,
he is one of the few illustrators who have realised the potential of web exposure and has exploited this new medium not just
by creating a single website but by dedicated a whole site to specific projects as with his promotion of the Katherine
Jenkins Print website. Here you can see some of his work and if you've a mind to, help the Childline
Charity since a percentage of each purchase goes directly to them, well done Roger!
