Can I join for free?
Yes, there is no charge for membership at this website, just enter your details on the joining page and respond to our
confirmation eMail and that's it, you're a member!
Do I HAVE to subscribe to use this website?
No; in fact, for most of this website you don't even have to be a member. We have hundreds of pages available for anyone
who is interested in Welsh culture and Welsh success to read and enjoy at their leisure.
How do I add a person to the listings?
It's easy, just enter their name into the box top left and click the search button. If the person is already listed
or if the name is similar to other famous Welsh personalities you'll see a page with links, if you're the first person
to suggest the name you'll see our 'Add a person' form - simple!
BONUS - This search doubles as a site search too, if you enter Ro Bry clicking search
will find Rob Brydon. Enter T Jones and it will find Terry Jones, Thomas Jones, Tom Jones, Tommy G Jones, Tommy Lee
Jones and Tristan Jones and any other 'T Jones' on-file.
How do I add a comment to the listings?
Just look for the 
icon at the bottom of
each listing page. You'll see various options available including add a comment or link.
If you're not already a member you can join FREE while you're adding your comment, remember to pick up your mail and
login in to get full benefits!
How do I get to the home page?
Look for the little house 
icon (top right), clicking this will always take you to our home page. The other icons to its right will take you
to: the log in page, the eMail form, the Advanced Search page and our help pages.
I clicked a link and got some stuff about subscribing, I'm already a member so what's going
on?
Some facilities are reserved for subscribers, you've clicked a link that relates to a subscription only facility at
this website. We have lots of features that have a 'subscriber' upgrade for instance, the MessagePad has extra features
for subscribers.
What is the 'MessagePad'?
As a famouswelsh.com member, the MessagePad allows
you to send messages from your members console to another members console. It looks and feels like eMail but it isn't,
your MessagePad can ONLY send messages to another members console, not to their eMail address. Please note, MessagePad
and MessagePad Plus are for ages over 18 only.
What is this Quizooka! thing?
Quizooka! is a general knowledge game developed here and exclusively available at famouswelsh.com - The object is to
get the highest score, it's as simple as that. Quizooka! displays six numbered spokes, simply click on a number and
it will show you a question along with four possible answers. Just choose the answer you think is correct.
If you get it right your score goes up, wrong and your score drops. If you're really not sure you can skip a question
- but you have to answer at least one in every set of six so you can't skip them all! After the sixth question Quizooka!
calculates your score and shows you any answers you got wrong, so it's a great learning aid for kids too!
You need the Flash browser plug-in (most people already have this but you can get it free if you don't)
What is the 'Keep Me Posted'?
If you're particularly interested in a famous person listed at famouswelsh.com you can add them to your 'Keep Me Posted'
listing. Then, if there are new entries made to that persons listing we will notify you. Your listing is displayed at
your members console, you can remove any entries you don't want easily, just click the remove icon on the listing.
