The Famous Welsh FREE members MessagePad.
Getting started
Before you can send a message you must first add at least one recipient to your famouswelsh.com MessagePad address book. It's
easy, just click the scroll box in the 'TO' field and select 'Add a member'. You'll then see a new page with some simple easy
to follow instructions - it only takes a few seconds and when you've done it once you'll be an expert! -
It's THAT easy!
You can add up to eight famouswelsh.com members to your address book, subscribers (just £5 for a whole year!) can add
up to twenty eight with MessagePad Plus!
The Inbox
To read a message just click on the subject in the INBOX, a new page will display showing the message in full.

The INBOX has other features, clicking their UserName will display an options page where you can add a sender to your address
book or block them from your famouswelsh.com MessagePad - Once blocked If they try to 'MessagePad' you again they'll simply
get an alert stating their message could not be delivered.
Reading and replying to messages
The INBOX shows the date of the message, who it's from and the subject. Click on the subject (in orange text) to open the
MessagePad reader, like this...

The top half of the page shows the message to you, if you want to reply you can then fill in the subject and your own message,
then click "Send this reply" and that's it! Notice the icons to the top right? These give you control over the MessagePad:

Block the sender, they will not be able to send you messages
Blocking messages
You can stop a fellow reader from sending you messages by selected the block icon in the window above. This means, when they
next try to send a message it will not be delivered. They will see an alert indicating the message could not be delivered.
You can view a list of any blocked users from your MessagePad console.
When you get a message
By default the MessagePad will send you an alert via eMail when there is a new message. Please note, your eMail address is
never divulged, famouswelsh.com readers can not contact you directly. In fact, you can not even pass your own eMail address
via the MessagePad system. This is to prevent accidental disclosure. You can of course give personal information if you wish
but we strongly advise against it.
Providing you have accepted cookies from our website, you may also see an alert at the top of each page, in the pencil icon.
It lets you know if you have anything in your INBOX. You can also disable the eMail alert(s) but it's best left on because
you may miss a message otherwise.
How many messages?
You can only send a message to one person at a time. Your AddressBook can store eight fellow members (subscribers of MessagePad
Plus can store twenty eight). Your I N B O X stores eight messages (MessagePad Plus can store twenty eight), after that it's
full. If your I N B O X is full just delete some old messages to make room for new.
The Address Book
You can add up to eight members to your address book (subscribers can add up to twenty eight with MessagePad Plus). You'll
notice how the AddressBook refers to fellow readers with their UserName and you don't need an eMail address. This is
because the MessagePad is an 'Internal Mail' system. Real names and eMail address' are protected.
There are two ways to add to your address book. Firstly, if another member has sent you a message you can simply click
on their Username in the INBOX, a new page will display where you'll see the 'Add to my address book' option. Secondly, in
the MessagePad panel, choose 'Add a member' from the scroll box in the TO field and follow the subsequent instructions.
From the AddressBook window (above) you can click the
write icon to start a new message to that person. To remove a person, from the AddressBook window simply click the
remove icon.
